Fall 2025 Reflections
A quarterly note from BBCIC Executive Director Cate Lockhart, MS, PharmD, PhD.
October 2025
Dear BBCIC Participants and Supporters,
Cooler temperatures remind me of one thing: AMCP Nexus!!!
We are busy preparing for the upcoming Nexus meeting on October 27-30 when we will be back in National Harbor for what is shaping up to be a great program! As part of the AMCP Research Institute, BBCIC will be participating in the RWE Arena – a new, themed, theater that will be located in the Expo hall. We are curating an exciting slate of content across a variety of real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) topics. Please come see us and join in the RWE discussion on Tuesday, October 28th between 12:00pm and 4:00pm and Wednesday, October 29th between 10:00am and 2:00pm. The full agenda of speakers and topics will be posted on the Nexus agenda and on site. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Our great work continues to get attention, with four presented at conferences so far this year, and an additional five abstracts accepted for presentation, including an impressive FOUR posters to be on display at Nexus! We also have had one manuscript published and a second accepted for publication. See below for our publication status trackers!
Speaking of attention, I had the distinct honor to travel to Silver Spring, MD, as an invited speaker at the FDA as part of their BsUFA 3 Regulatory Science Program interim public meeting on September 18th. I was selected to present our findings from two FDA-supported research projects that are funded through the BsUFA program. It was an extremely engaging and interesting program, where we heard from FDA officials about current and future plans for the Regulatory Science Program, from four other grantees regarding their research results, and had the opportunity to speak to 13 additional grantees presenting posters. We are still working hard on our grant project, in collaboration with colleagues from Italy and Denmark, and we look forward to continuing to share our results.
As always, we have a lot going on, and I have to say CONGRATULATIONS to all of BBCIC for your ongoing support, enthusiasm, and perseverance to continue to produce high-quality, important research. And I have to say THANK YOU for all those same reasons. We are tiny but mighty!
It takes a village to raise a consortium, and we are grateful for your continued support and engagement!
Kind Regards,
Cate Lockhart, MS, PharmD, PhD
